OUR STORY

1 Corinthians 15: 57 “But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”.

There is an urgent need to resolve the problem of the skills gap that exists among the youth in Rwanda and surrounding countries.
Nearly 80% of youth in Sub-Saharan Africa lack technical and vocational skills that are necessary for them to be employable or provide the ability to create their own jobs.
In order to break the cycle of poverty and unemployment among the youth in the developing world, specifically in Rwanda (sub-Saharan Africa), we will strive to provide sponsorship for the youth through existing TVET schools.

About Kingdom Youth Redemption Organization (KYRO): Breaking Chains, Building Futures

Kingdom Youth Redemption Organization (KYRO) is a Christian nonprofit organization on a mission to bring hope and transformation to the lives of unwed young mothers facing the challenges of early pregnancies and dropped-out education. Our focus is on those who find themselves in this situation between the ages of 15 to 20, offering them a pathway to a brighter future.

Our Mission:

At KYRO, our mission is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and the belief that every young mother, irrespective of her past, deserves the opportunity to break free from the chains of poverty. We recognize the unique challenges these young women face, and our dedicated efforts are aimed at supporting them on their journey toward self-sufficiency.

Program Focus:

We specifically target unwed young mothers who have encountered the significant hurdle of early pregnancies and the subsequent discontinuation of their education. KYRO steps in to provide a lifeline, offering these young mothers the chance to attend and complete vocational training programs. Through these programs, we equip them with practical skills that not only make them employable but also empower them to create their own sustainable livelihoods.

Our Approach:

KYRO's approach is holistic, recognizing that true transformation involves more than just vocational training. We integrate Christian values into our programs, fostering an environment of support, understanding, and encouragement. By addressing the root causes of poverty and providing essential life skills, we aim to break the cycles that have kept these young mothers in challenging circumstances.

Breaking the Cycle of Poverty:

Our ultimate goal is to break the cycle of poverty that has constrained these young mothers. Through vocational training, we provide them with the tools to build careers, secure employment, or even start their own businesses. By doing so, we not only empower these individuals but also contribute to the well-being of their families and communities.

Join Us in Our Mission:

At KYRO, we believe in the power of redemption and the transformative impact of education and skills. We invite you to join us in our mission, whether through support, partnerships, or spreading awareness. Together, we can create a future where unwed young mothers are not defined by their past but empowered to shape their destinies and break free into a life of purpose, dignity, and self-reliance.

Top of Form As we move forward, KYRO remains steadfast in its commitment to bringing about a brighter future for the unwed young mothers we serve. We believe in their potential, their dreams, and their ability to rise above adversity. With our inclusive approach, we are bridging the gap between hope and opportunity, and in doing so, we are breaking the chains of poverty that have held back too many for too long.

About Rwanda

Rwanda, situated in East-Central Africa, stands as one of the smallest countries on the continent, hosting a population exceeding 13 million, making it the most densely populated. Despite its modest size, Rwanda faces significant economic challenges, ranking 119 out of 187 countries in the U.N. Development Program’s Human Development Index, solidifying its status as one of the poorest nations globally.

In April 1994, Rwanda was thrust into one of the most horrific genocides of the 21st century, with over a million Tutsi people mercilessly killed in a devastating 100-day period. This tragic event left indelible scars, severely impacting Rwanda's already fragile economy, exacerbating poverty, and plunging the nation into a state of desperation. Post-1994, under new leadership, Rwanda has demonstrated remarkable resilience and progress in rebuilding the nation.

KYRO, in partnership with local government authorities in the Eastern Province of Rwamagana District, specifically in Rubona and Gishari sectors, collaborates to bring positive change. These sectors, situated about a one-hour drive from Kigali city, are emblematic of communities heavily reliant on subsistence farming for their daily livelihoods.

Through collaborative efforts, KYRO and the local community aim to break the chains of poverty and create a future where sustainable livelihoods replace the struggles of subsistence farming. Together, they work towards fostering community empowerment and transformation, echoing the broader narrative of Rwanda's journey from tragedy to triumph.
